The 10k Challenge Recap & Goal Setting

December 14, 2018

As you start to set and review your 2019 sales goals, it’s important to reflect back on everything you did right and wrong for your business in 2018.

Definitely ask yourself the following questions:

  1. How have I grown as a business owner?
  2. What are my next steps as I begin IPS and selling prints?
  3. Have I been thoughtful in planning out my collections, pricing, branding etc.?
  4. Do I understand my products?
  5. And perhaps most importantly, how can I continue to scale my business and reach my sales goals?

One of the most important things to remind yourself as you embark on in-person sales sessions is that you are elevating the experience for your clients. Talk about the ways it benefits them. If you were formerly a gallery giver (no judgments here) you’re now inviting them to meet with you in person to review their images and shop the products available. This way, they don’t have to be confused by customizations on the gallery, get overwhelmed by what to choose, or put it off forever. You’re here to help them get precious heirlooms into their hands sooner and easier than ever before.

For the month of November, we wanted to give our Legacy Sales group a little extra motivation and encouragement to finish their quarters strong. We called it the 10k Print Sales Challenge… The goal: for our legacy sales-ers to make an extra ten thousand dollars in PRINT SALES alone in thirty days time. The winner with the largest number in sales for November would get to take home a $1,000 cash prize!

Now, it may sound daunting, however, of our 20 participants we had seven of them sell between 3k and 20k in just print products! This means their sales and invoices excluded services, digitals and session fees. Imagine making that in JUST print sales? Think about all of the clients of these printographers who were able to receive elevated experiences and purchase heirlooms that will last them a lifetime!

Here’s the final tally:

So, how did these individuals reach their goals for the month? Some reached out to past clients who had only ever bought digitals from them and offered to open up their galleries with the opportunity to purchase prints. Others reached out to current clients and offered them a holiday/Black Friday or Thanksgiving promotion. Some held in-person sales sessions and nailed their client experience by offering recently introduced print products, new to their collections with the help of the Legacy Sales course. Whatever action they may have taken, we are incredibly proud of the way they have begun scaling their businesses.

With a solid support system and an in-depth approach to how to create a print-driven business, these photographers are able to work less and live more. Our whole business model changed and we were able to multiply our sales and revenue just by selling prints.

“Infuse your life with action. Don’t wait for it to happen. Make it happen. Make your own future. Make your own hope.”
― Bradley Whitford
